1. Who these terms are between

These terms are between you and JDVSResume, the operator of JD VS Resume ("we", "us"), available at jdvsresume.com. Paid subscriptions are sold by FastSpring as merchant of record; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for billing details.

2. What JD VS Resume does

JD VS Resume lets you upload a resume, compare it against a job description, generate an AI-tailored version, translate it, and export it. Some of this is available for free with limits (currently: one AI-tailored resume generation); paid plans, when available, remove those limits.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including your resume content.

4. Your content stays yours

You own your resume and everything in it. By uploading it, you give us a limited license to process it — including sending it to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy — solely to provide the features you request (parsing, analysis, tailoring, translation, export). We don't claim ownership of your resume content, and we don't use it for anything beyond delivering the service to you.

You're responsible for making sure you have the right to upload the content you submit — for example, don't upload someone else's resume without their permission.

5. AI-generated content — please review it

Tailored resume content, translations, and scoring suggestions are generated by AI models. They're built to be specific and grounded in your actual resume, not generic filler — but AI output can still be wrong, miss context, or phrase something in a way you wouldn't. Always review AI-generated content before using it in a real job application. We don't guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated text, a specific match score, or any hiring or interview outcome.

6. Free tier and paid plans

Current plan details are on our Pricing page. The free plan's limits (such as the one-generation cap) may change as the product develops. Paid plans are billed monthly through FastSpring, which acts as merchant of record for checkout, tax collection where applicable, and subscription renewals.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything illegal or to misrepresent your identity or qualifications fraudulently.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, security measures, or authentication.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service in ways it isn't intended to be used.
• Upload malicious files or content that violates someone else's rights.

8. Our intellectual property

The JD VS Resume name, branding, and the software itself belong to us. These terms don't grant you any rights to them beyond using the app as intended.

9. Termination

You can stop using JD VS Resume and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including the acceptable-use section above.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

JD VS Resume is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will result in job offers, interviews, or any particular outcome. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use JD VS Resume after a change means you accept the updated terms.
